Room 32 is the coolest place on the planet! We are off to a great start! Students are enjoying an author study featuring Kevin Henkes! You can find his books at most major book stores. You might recognize some his titles such as, "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse", and "Owen" among many others. Students are studying character's actions and feelings to connect to the story. Thank you for all of your classroom donations! You are so generous! We are starting the year with a healthy supply of crayons, colored pencils, pencils and markers!!!

What's Going On in the Month of September? Back to School Night- September 17th from 5:00-7:30 Dinner available at 5:00 PTA Meeting at 5:30 Teacher Introductions at 6:00 Classrooms open at 6:15-7:15 Please return all paperwork as soon as possible! Parent Volunteer Sign-Ups: We will be looking for a room coordinator, as well as many eager parents who can commit to helping with special events and fundraisers. I will be sending a blue sign-up and a green sign up sheet from the PTA on Wednesday, September 16th. Please return it to me in your child's folder as soon as you can. Thank you for signing up to help with our school events in advance! Daily: Thank you for sending your child's take-home folder with them daily! Please teach your child to care for it and keep it as clean and dry as possible. We don't have replacement folders available this year as of yet. If your child should lose or damage theirs please replace it with a labeled folder as similar to the one we've provided as soon as possible. If you choose to send a snack with your child, please remember to pack a healthy snack in a separate bag from their lunch. Lunch is at 11:45 on M, T, Th and F. It is at 11:30 on Wed. Morning Procedures: Thank you for having your child here on time daily. I pick up the students at 8:10 and we start promptly after arriving at the classroom. Please have your student line up in front of the main office in a single file line. Our line is numbered with a 32. Students should not wait in front of our classroom in the morning. Thank you for saying goodbye in line in front of the office! It is helping us have a smoother start in the morning and making the transition easier for our students! No more crowded hallways and traffic jams, and the students are learning to be responsible for their folders and lunches! Great job parents! Parking Procedures: Things have changed in our parking lot! Please see the home page and click on parking if you have any questions. Please enjoy exploring the rest of our website!
