Parents as Partners
At the end of the 2008 - 2009 school year, we began the campaign of "Parents as Partners." Due to the huge budget cuts for the 2009-2010 school year, we are asking parents to partner with us in many areas. In 2008 - 2009 Gardenhill was given a budget of $102,000 and in 2009 - 2010 our budget is now $41,000. This will be the school's budget for the next 4 years. At Back to School Night you will be able to sign up for different ways you can help support our school and help us to continue to maintain an excellent education for our children. We will be doing several fundraisers, asking for volunteers and partnering with parents to continue our outstanding professional learning community. We believe that children are best served and supported when parents and teachers work as partners, and we are excited about enhancing the home/school connection at Gardenhill. Parental involvement in a school is an extraordinarily valuable positive feature! |
